This could be your new inspiration!!!
Designers are always in search of inspiration to get new ideas. Here's something you've got to try out...
It’s not the first time a designer has fallen into the vegetables & fruits for inspiration to develop prints and blocks. But you could get ideas to develop fashion illustration designs using actual Vegetables & fruits. Here's how it goes-
All you need is- Potatoes, Onions, Garlic, bananas, Garlic cloves, Ginger, peeler, knife.
Don't take me wrong!!! We aren't cooking here :D
We also need papers, pen, a few color stationary, etc...

So, now don't be hasty or troubled or confused.
You can watch the video and follow a few methods shown on how to go about it. I'm sure you'll get an idea on How to start your first design using a banana skin.
It is great fun assembling the craft and adding to it. I have been using these techniques since I was in my teenage and still continue it to keep my mind free to take in the new ideas or even color palettes.
What is it about fruits and vegetables that I find so inspiring?
"They're so much fun to work with. Also meditative. They offer a rich and varied color palette. "There are so many different shapes, colors and varieties that it's an endless source of inspiration. Arranging them, cutting, placements, I'm sure you'll get geared to practice this very often. It is a great way to understand for most fresher fashion designers, and also the established ones!!!

Tip #1 - Arrange a decent sized working table

A table is a must must for any designer to start with any experiment. Arrange up your stationary.
Tip #2 - Gather washed veg & fruits and set them up

So, once you've gathered the veggies & fruits- take your illustration sheet and start with cutting and placing your favorite fruit or vegetable. Take a note, not to choose a very juicy veg or fruit, as that will ruin your illustration sheets.
You can shape & paint the potatoes as shown in the image.
"You've got to experiment to figure out what works. - Andrew Weil
Tip #3 - Work with Garlic Cloves

With garlic you can either work in group or even separate each clove to create a design or pattern.
Tip #4 - Mix it up
So, you could also use multiple veggies or fruits to come up with unexpected results. Try simple silhouettes initially.
Tip #5 - Remember to Compile you Works
So, now that you have got a knack of fashion illustrating with vegetables & fruits, It's gonna be difficult for you to preserve your works for even more than an hour. My suggestion- Click you "Work in Process" images. That way you'll have records of your working style without missing any steps.
Also click your finial works, before its too late.
Great!!! Let me know your experience...
Once you're done making your sheets, don't forget to share them with me. You could attach it to the comments area, & i would love to get back to you.
